The 5th Studio of the Department of Visual and Applied Arts at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTh) presents a unique contemporary art exhibition titled “SummertimeSadness / Summertime Joy”. Hosted at the historic Technochoros-Apothiki (The Warehouse) in Nikiti, Sithonia, the exhibition is organized under the initiative of Studio Director Labros Psyrrakis.
The dual theme explores the emotional spectrum of the Mediterranean summer—capturing both the vibrant, sun-drenched joy of the season and the nostalgic, bittersweet melancholy that accompanies it. Featuring diverse visual and applied art works created by the university’s talented student artists and faculty, the exhibition bridges Thessaloniki’s academic art scene with the summer cultural landscape of Sithonia.

Organized by the Halkidiki Health Runners Club, this fast-paced event beautifully blends sportsmanship with regional discovery, routing runners through both the historic urban center and the scenic mountain landscapes surrounding Polygyros.
The race layout caters to all fitness levels and age groups:

14.6 km Mountain-City Run (18:15): A challenging, multi-terrain race designed for endurance runners looking to tackle elevation shifts between the town and nature trails.

5 km City Run & Power Walk (18:00): A highly accessible race loop weaving through the main streets of Polygyros, perfect for casual runners, walkers, and families.
